That’s why FCIA have selected Marsh Advantage Insurance as their preferred insurance broker, enabling you to access insurance programs suited for the requirements of this industry.

Key cover for FCIA members

  • General Liability Cover: Whether you’re an independent installer, contractor or flooring retailer, it is strongly recommended that you have General Liability insurance. Marsh Advantage Insurance can arrange General Liability cover that provides cover in the event of third party personal injury or property.
  • Tool Insurance: If your tools are suddenly lost, damaged or stolen there could be a significant financial impact resulting from needing to purchase new tools or cover the cost of repairs.
  • Commercial Motor Vehicle: Your motor vehicle may be one of the most valuable tools for your job, enabling you to get from site to site. So imagine the financial implications should your vehicle suddenly be damaged and require urgent repairs! Marsh Advantage Insurance arranges Commercial Motor Vehicle insurance for tradies including FCIA members, which can include cover for Vans, Utes and Station Wagons.  The policy can include hire car inclusions regardless who is at is at fault, windscreen damage, excess waivers and choice of preferred repairer, all designed to make your life easier.

Additional covers to consider:

  • Personal Accident Insurance: Did you know that Trade workers, Machinery operators and drivers, and labourers were all identified as occupation groups with the highest rates of workplace injury, according to the Australian Bureau of Statistics1. This is not surprise, with the physical requirements of these jobs often placing stress on the body. What may not have been considered is the impact that this may have on a person’s livelihood should they suddenly become seriously injured during their career. This can undoubtedly cause significant stress for tradies and their families. Marsh Advantage Insurance can arrange 24/7 Personal Accident Cover on behalf of FCIA members, offering financial cover if they injure themselves. This cover not only applies to work-related injuries but also extends to personal injury or illness that inhibits an insureds ability to work and therefore earn an income. The Policy can provide up to 90% of your income up to two years, subject to a declared weekly limit, seeking to minimise financial hardship and reducing stress to allow injured people to focus on recovery.

We advise that none of the personal accident and sickness policies arranged by Marsh include Workers Compensation insurance. By law employers must have Workers Compensation insurance for their employees.
